Extremely high quality bearing kit. Well worth the money spent.
Kind of long, but a must read. I must first tell of a snafu. Through no fault of the seller, my order arrived with the USPS shipping box ripped open with the bearing kit missing, within a Post Office "We're Sorry This Happened" bag. With Brown's Supply, an Amazon third party seller, getting this issue resolved proved tricky as there is no real established policy for this kind of incident for refunding and to get another order when a shipping box shows up empty. In short, Amazon stepped up, as well as Brown's Supply. Brown's Supply stellar customer service kicked in, and without me asking, they immediately shipped 2nd day air, a new replacement bearing kit. You cannot go wrong ordering from them. Also, included in the kit is a Tip Sheet for removal and installation and of these bearings as well. This is the highest quality bearing kit and business you want to order and purchase from.On to the repair: If you can, move the washer outside or into a garage. You will need the work space. These bearings are absolutely worth the extra money spent. The bearings are of the highest quality, with the inner part of the bearing seal coming pre-lubricated with grease. Do not waste your money on other inferior bearing sets sold by others just to save a few dollars. You want this to be a onetime repair. Also, since you will be disassembling near the entire washing machine, go ahead and order and replace the water drain motor, if it hasn't been replaced yet, since they also do, and will, fail.Note: Since these bearings fail because of water intrusion caused by the bearing seal failing, order a new spider support as well, because as you can see in the pictures, there is pitting on the old hub seal race that will scar a new seal into failure in a short order. As well as gouges in the spindle shaft where contact is made with the bearings. Do not attempt to just smooth out the spindle bearing race and shaft unless you want to do this repair again in the near future. This thing spins pounds of wet clothes at an unbelievable rate, up to 1600 rpm. So you'll want a nice smooth seal surface and spindle shaft. Prior to putting the washer basket, with the spindle support, on the new bearings, smear a bit of waterproof grease, if you have some, or maybe some lithium grease, on the bearing race to ensure a smooth insertion. For the serious money saver thinking DIY'er: Wanting to save money on not buying new spider support bolts? After you carefully remove them, loosen a bit, tighten a bit, etc., before fully removing, so as not to spin the hidden securing metal nut in its plastic housing, then having to cut the top of the bolt off to disassemble, do this; Get out a brass rotary brush wheel attached to your drill and clean off all the embedded thread Loctite and make them like new again. Then get a thread chaser to clean out the nuts, they are M8 sized threads. No thread chaser? Using a .30 caliber brass bore brush works well. When reinstalling the bolts, put on some red Loctite Threadlocker. Note that it takes 24 hours to cure properly. Use that brush to clean off the stains and hardened goop on the washer basket under the spider support as well to ensure a good mating surface for the new spider support.Take your time. Take pictures before disassembly to help reassemble if needed, and use a marker to mark where certain electrical connectors go, if necessary. After you've disassembled everything, and before installing the new bearings, take a moment, or several moments, now, to clean ... everything. You will not believe the buildup of gunk and left over goop from years of washing your clothes. Remove and disassemble and clean those plastic tumblers inside the drum as well, lots of gunk buildup inside those.Extremely Important: When reassembling the magnetic motor housing over the coils, be extremely careful so as not to damage, or chip, any of those magnets. If not careful, it can get away from you because of the magnetic pull towards the coils. You do not want to have to buy a new one. Also, make sure it is clean and that no rouge metal pieces have adhered to them. Because there is such a narrow gap between the coils and the magnets when rotating, anything stuck to them will destroy the coils and magnets. Bad similar experience from working with boat motors here. Immediately after disassembly and removal, put it into a large freezer bag to avoid any problems.Another note: In my opinion, the reason washers get to smelling bad is because of this built up goop, which is caused by the use of too much detergent and/or detergent powders, and/or over loading the washer, not because of the door seal. So please, don't go wasting money ordering a new door seal with the hopes it'll make your washer smell better. Better to do a monthly clean cycle to keep the inside new and clean. This was an easy job for me as I am an electro-mechanical, electronics, service technician, and mechanic, with over 40 years of experience. Though mostly in the office equipment arena, fixing things, is, fixing things. All in all, in my estimation, for all the "quality" parts, you'll be spending about 10%-15% of the price of a new front loading washer. And after all that work, you'll pretty much have a new washer. Well worth the money spent, and the time and effort put in.Btw, my LG washer was manufactured in 2006, which began use in 2007. Been using it about 17 years now. In that time, I've replaced the water drain motor, and the door seal due to a tear. And now the bearings, bearing seal, and spider support. So maybe I'll see another 17 years before another repair? Time will tell.

A "yes" from me
Good quality bearings packaged well and shipped and arrived quickly, which is awesome cause I'm just not a laundromat girlie. Now, the job replacing them? That was hell. But all's well that ends well, I have a washer that spins quietly and evenly with no sign of any leaks. I understand why the repair guy said to just buy a new one, but I'm grateful not to be out that cost.

Need tub gasket also to complete repair.
Company knows the exact bearings you need and fit my 2008 LGwasher. Fit easily if put bearings in freezer before pressing in . You will definitely need long tub gasket in addition to bearing shaft seal they provide. The original tub gasket was very deformed/compressed and you don't want to do over again if leaks.

So far, so good
So far so good. This is NOT a job for the faint-of-heart! This requires a complete disassembly of LG front load machines.

For this much effort, install a trusted, high-quality part. Not disappointed.
I ordered this to replace the bearings on an LG front load washing machine, WM2277HW. The machine started to sound awesome, reminded me of an airplane engine. I loved it, but I could see how it would be annoying and it was clearly a sign that something bad was going to happen. I smelled burning rubber one day which ended up being the rubber seal around the door rubbed by the basket during spin cycle. I decided it was time for a change. It was complicated to disassemble the machine, then VERY, VERY difficult to remove the old bearings. I used a 12" steel bar 1/2" in diameter and a big hammer to pound them out. It was tricky and I was skeptical that it would come out until finally it did. In fact I didn't even order any new parts until I had the old one's out because I didn't want to spend the money unless I had a high probability of success. I watched several videos about this project before attempting it and eventually ordering this part as well as the "spider" and the door boot gasket seal. I am satisfied with the job complete (after getting it all back together). In fact during the job I took it as a challenge and almost a hobby. I thoroughly cleaned many parts during the process. I enjoyed learning how to be an appliance repair tech, and was happy to get it repaired, partially out of principle, not about the cost in my time. I did this over a couple of weeks and I had backup laundry facilities during this time. I now love the old (repaired) washing machine more than a brand new one, simply because I put my heart into it. Ah, sacrifice brings appreciation. God bless and good luck!
