Hey, its S&G, of course its good
S&G is the industry standard. If you going to replace a garbage lock like the cheap junk that came with my Liberty safe (Liberty does use S&G, just not on this safe) then you get a S&G. I have one safe I wanted to be able to get into quickly so I chose this lock. It is very fast and secure. If is easy to change combinations if you desire. Install is very easy, programming takes a bit of understanding if your not used to doing these but not all that bad.

easy install
I wanted to replace a securam electronic lock that was 15 years old and put one in that was emp resistant. Took me around 30 minutes and that included programing and deleting the factory's codes. After the Liberty safe problem of them giving out the unlock codes to the DOJ,, everyone should consider this

Works for Cannon Safes
Only complain was programming it. Refer to YouTube. The instructions are garbage. Also run the phone cord wire under the battery area to the top right. That wasn't clearly stated either. Rest turned out fine. Didn't want to wait a month for Cannon to send me replacement parts for free. Rather dull out 130 bucks than leave my expensive belongings unlocked. The lock cylinder failed and no longer locked after 12 years. Works now.

Battery not accessible
After removing the plastic tab per instructions the battery holder will not come down. The instructions for the keypad installation were confusing. The 2 tiny electrical connectors are the same size and color. When the battery needs changing I hope I don't have to buy another lock.

Easy install on my 30 year old safe
The keypad went out on the office safe. It happened once before and I had a locksmith change it. This time I decided to save the money and install it myself. It took about 20 minutes and has worked great for about 6 months. The last one must have had a short because it would go through batteries every month. This one is still on its first set.
